Building Hope

Through Education & Connection

From classrooms to communities,

girls rise and shine.

Our
Work,
Our Purpose.

Intercommunity supports girls and young women in Sierra Leone to rise, learn and lead. We provide education and opportunities to unlock potential, strengthen communities, and create lasting change.

Rooted in friendship between Canada and Sierra Leone, we believe when girls are lifted, entire communities thrive.

Intercommunity was first created by a woman from Sierra Leone, shaped by her experience of growing up and surviving the war and her community work. Today, it continues with her Canadian sister. Both believe in the power of kindness and giving-and in the hope that grows when communities, no matter how far apart, uplift each other.
